Build Your Career With Us

At El Paso Electric, we invest in skilled professionals who take pride in their craft.

Our Culture

When you join our team, you join a company that holds itself to a higher standard — and supports you in meeting it. We are a team built on mutual respect, hard work, and a shared commitment to doing things right. The highest level of professionalism is imperative and non-negotiable.

To ensure we give ourselves the best opportunities, we maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace. We also regularly do background checks on our team in order to qualify for working in schools, on military bases, in SCIF environments, and other sensitive areas. Some of those projects are rewarded by prevailing wages.

The Standards We Uphold

Craftsmanship

Clean, code-compliant work that passes inspection the first time. Every install reflects our century-long reputation.

Safety First

OSHA compliance and ongoing safety training are non-negotiable on every job site.

Communication

Clear, professional communication with teammates, other trades, GCs, and clients.

Technology Fluency

We stay current with the latest tools, techniques, and code requirements in the industry.

What We Expect

We look for people who show up ready to work, take ownership of their responsibilities, and hold themselves to the same high standards.

  • Professional conduct on every job site
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality
  • Commitment to continuously growing in technical knowledge and know-how in the electrical trade
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks — we work in schools, military bases, SCIF facilities, and other sensitive environments that require clean records
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to provide valid I-9 documentation verifying identity and work authorization

Our Team Isn't For Everyone

We believe in being upfront. If any of the following describe you, El Paso Electric probably isn't the right fit — and that's okay.

  • Prone to anger or unable to manage frustration professionally
  • Unable to work effectively as part of a team
  • Uninterested in learning new skills or adapting to new methods
  • Willing to cut corners or take shortcuts on quality or safety
  • Inclined to skim on effort or waste company time
